Philip L. Hasel, CPA, CIA
Since 2003, Phil Hasel has been providing Tax Planning, Preparation and Representation services here on the Central Coast of California. His clients include individuals (young and not so young), sole proprietors, partnerships, corporations (both "C" and "S" corps), trusts and retirement plans.
Phil sometimes jokes that if he was not an accountant, he would be a teacher. He has been able to include this in his practice as Chairmanship of the Financial Literacy Committee for the Central Coast Chapter of the California Society of CPAs. This is also evidenced in his practice with the time he spends to help clients understand the decisions that affect their finances, tax return or business decisions.
His move to the Central Coast and Phil's decision to return public account and "TAXES" follows his 25 years of experience as a senior-level finance professional with high-growth, high-technology corporations including acquisitions, start-ups, and turn-around organizations. He has proven leadership skills in operational planning, budgeting and strategic alignment, finance, risk/insurance, and payroll and HR benefit management.
During this time Phil also served on advisory boards for high-tech developmental companies at the Arizona Technology Incubator in Scottsdale, Arizona.
He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Arizona Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Phil is also a certificated alternative dispute mediator having served with the small claims court system in the Phoenix area. This included working with employers, consumer and small business to settle disputes (claims) with employees, contractors, suppliers and customers.
